Engineering Technician

Job Description: Engineering Technician This role is ideal for individuals driven by technical problem-solving and continuous improvement. The responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing manufacturing and facilities equipment. Additionally, you will manage small-scale projects and oversee contractors to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance. Compensation Base pay range: $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr. Key Qualifications: Experience in construction or contractor management Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment Supervise equipment upgrades and modifications Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions Plan and execute small-scale projects for equipment and facility improvements Conduct Job Safety Analyses and enforce safety standards Oversee equipment startup, calibration, and support Manage contractors for facility and equipment installations Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) Apply Root Cause Analysis for troubleshooting and improvements Mentor maintenance technicians in technical troubleshooting Qualifications: Understanding of engineering fundamentals and mechanical/electrical components Proficiency in interpreting technical documents like P&IDs and schematics Experience with PLCs Familiarity with Lean methodologies is a plus Knowledge of safety codes and engineering standards Understanding of facility infrastructure systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred 3–5 years of experience in related engineering fields or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (or equivalent) Additional Details: Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Contract Job function: Manufacturing Industry: Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
