In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights of the residents at the community. This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits. This position will render personal care to residents and monitor their physical and cognitive wellbeing.

Essential functions, key duties, and responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and established community policies and procedures.
• Assisting residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Assisting with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Monitoring the residents' physical and cognitive wellbeing and reporting changes to the nurse and supervisor.
• Delivering nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and providing resident assistance as needed to ensure intake. Documenting intake per community policy/procedure.
• Participating in life enrichment programming and providing meaningful activities to residents.
• Documenting resident care timely and accurately.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Complying with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Position requirements include:

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations

Experience: 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion in working with the elderly.

Up to $22/hour - Full-Time and Part-Time

Weekend Differential $3.00 an hour
