Senior Portfolio Accountant

Harmer has been engaged by our client, a full-service commercial real estate investment, development, and management firm, to identify a Senior Portfolio Accountant. This is a newly created role driven by portfolio growth, recent acquisitions, and upcoming development activity. We welcome you to apply. Opportunity Highlights: Newly created position adding true bandwidth to a growing accounting team Exposure across the full real estate lifecycle including acquisitions, development, operations, and fund-level reporting Portfolio is diverse across several commercial asset classes Collaborative, team-oriented accounting group with strong tenure and supportive leadership Broad scope beyond pure property accounting including treasury, reporting, and investor-facing work Responsibilities Include: Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis, and cash analysis Support development and construction accounting, including construction draws, project costs, and development-related reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and recoveries as applicable Partner with internal teams and third-party providers, including auditors and tax advisors Assist with investor reporting, distributions, and fund-related activities based on portfolio assignment Support accounting related to acquisitions, dispositions, development activity, and other special projects Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 4+ years of commercial property accounting experience Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting Experience with developement/construction accounting preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
