Insight Global’s client, a global leader within the energy and oil & gas industry, is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist II to support complex projects and drive commercial excellence during the execution phase. This role is ideal for a contracts professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment and enjoys partnering closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to manage risk, protect revenue, and support strategic decision‑making.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a key member of the project team, advising project managers on contract strategy throughout execution
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual risks while supporting commercial strategy discussions
• Prepare and deliver clear summaries of contract matters, including contract synopses, reviews, and obligations matrices
• Draft, review, and manage contractual correspondence with clients, partners, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities
• Monitor project deliverables and proactively identify contractual risks and opportunities
• Lead contractual and commercial aspects of change management, including claim preparation, internal approvals, and negotiations with clients, joint venture partners, and subcontractors
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements and timelines

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years of contracts experience
• At least 2 years of experience supporting Subsea contracts preferred
• Required experience within the oil & gas industry
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes
• Solid understanding of cross‑functional and interdisciplinary project environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting
• Background in law or a commercial discipline is a plus
