Pharmacy Construction and Infrastructure Project Manager

Reporting to the Pharmacy Director of Business Operations, the Pharmacy Infrastructure Project Manager assists in the planning, design, coordination, and execution of various construction and building renovation projects and/or equipment coordination for Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Pharmacy. The position is responsible for budget development, expenditure monitoring, related space and construction initiatives, operational preventive maintenance, and financial analysis projects as requested. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Planning and Design Assists in programm­ing, planning, designing, developing, and documenting construction and renovation projects in accordance with industry practices and departmental procedures. Participates in the review and evaluation of initial space and renovation requests to determine feasibility. Facilitates meetings to compile data for program and project requirements for multiple inter‑related design and construction projects, including capital renovations and space planning initiatives. Coordinates with internal resources and external consultants to fully develop project scope. Reviews design criteria, specifications, space requirements and adherence to DFCI space and finish standards. Project Management Develops, documents, and manages a variety of pharmacy projects and initiatives. Participates in oversight of budgets for capital‑funded in‑house work‑order renovations and other capital projects as assigned. Serves as project manager for pharmacy in‑house work‑order construction and other capital projects as assigned. Collaborates with facilities operations supervisor to schedule and manage work‑order renovations. Coordinates scope of work with managers of in‑house trades including telecom, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Assists project managers in design and user‑group coordination, ensuring project approval, budget development, and approval. Follows facility management policies and procedures. Develops, maintains, and implements pharmacy equipment and infrastructure standards. Participates in development and ongoing maintenance of SOPs, policies, procedures, and training materials. Operations Monitoring Participates in monitoring pharmacy facilities and equipment. Works with facilities to identify and resolve pharmacy and equipment issues. Monitors pharmacy equipment to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are in place and performed per specifications. Monitors pharmacy systems managing the environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, especially in leading and collaborating with non‑direct reports. Demonstrated organization, scheduling, and coordination skills. Proficient in project management, including planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. Ability to evaluate construction drawings, architectural specifications, and associated shop drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Suite preferred. Minimum Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and/or Construction Management. Minimum three years of managerial experience in architecture, facilities management, engineering, or construction.
