Job Description This pediatric position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard physical therapy practices. The Physical Therapist consults with, educates, and trains patients and their caregivers working in a pediatric population. As a Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with both outpatient and acute care patients. Life in Miles City, Montana Miles City is a close‑knit western community known as the "Cowboy Capital." The city offers historic downtown shops, art galleries, and local eateries, as well as outdoor activities along the Yellowstone River and nearby parks. The Eastern Montana prairies are ideal for hiking, biking, camping, and horseback riding. Scope Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions. Develops plans that describe a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome, including exercise regimens to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. Utilizes modalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling. Provides information regarding the appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support programs to restore physical function and improve mobility. Determines patients’ ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required. Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. One (1) year of related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required. Preferred Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
