Job Summary The Revenue Manager assists the Market Director of Revenue Management and the reservation sales team to optimize revenue and deliver high‑level services to guests. The role focuses on setting revenue goals, analyzing sales trends, implementing strategies, and ensuring accurate rate positioning across all distribution channels. Major Duties and Responsibilities Support revenue management and distribution team goals and strategies. Review, analyze, and communicate day‑to‑day changes, inventory and pace for designated hotels using IdeaS, SynXis, and business intelligence systems. Collaborate with the Revenue Team to develop, implement, maintain, and measure revenue‑impacting strategies. Analyze market and competitive intelligence on a regular basis. Create analytical ad‑hoc reports for the Area Director of Revenue(s). Support hotel yield efforts by mining revenue opportunities across segments and distribution channels. Maintain a forward‑thinking, improvement‑focused team culture. Ensure proactive, accurate management of IdeaS, Opera, SynXis, and business intelligence systems. Provide analytical research documents that support strategic ideation. Identify and communicate demand periods requiring strategic planning. Offer pricing, availability, market demand, and promotional insights during weekly strategy/yield meetings. Complete projects in collaboration with hotels and regional needs as assigned. Update selling restrictions and inventory controls in IdeaS and SynXis as needed. Authorize daily rate updates in other distribution channels to maintain rate integrity. Verify report accuracy before release. Interface with Front Office Managers on same‑day selling strategies. Maintain technical expertise on IdeaS, SynXis, Opera, Excel, and related tools. Utilize resources to increase RevPAR index and net revenue. Conduct displacement analysis for groups and long‑term business. Support revenue, sales, operations, and marketing functions as required. Lead the hotel revenue team and daily revenue process when the Director of Revenue Management is absent. Leadership Skill Requirements Vision and strategic leadership. Technical Skill Requirements Proficiency in all reservations systems. Ability to create, implement, and analyze manual and automated reports. Comprehensive knowledge of management strategies and techniques. Advanced skills in Outlook, Opera PMS, SynXis, Microsoft Office, and related PC applications. Expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Operational knowledge of national sales processes, Delphi, GDS, and third‑party internet distribution. Understanding of all corporate support functions. Capacity to produce revenue reports that drive growth. Other Skill Requirements Strong communication skills and an enthusiastic team spirit. Highly motivated and flexible with initiative‑taking ability. Incisive analytical and problem‑resolution skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of supply and demand market concepts. Capability to compute and understand basic revenue statistics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, LOS). Ability to analyze STR reports, Demand360 reports, and pickup reports. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Cognos, and a willingness to learn new technology. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; some college and related experience will be considered. At least 2 years of experience as a Revenue Manager or Revenue Analyst. Comprehensive knowledge of New York City markets and trends. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Demonstrated record of increasing RevPAR yield in the NYC market. Pay Range Annual Compensation Rate: $85,000 – $100,000 (base pay may vary based on qualifications and experience).
