Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Neuro ICU Nurse!

Job Description:


- Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Experience Required : Minimum 2 years in Neuro ICU
- Traveler Experience : Unit will NOT accept first-time travelers
- Locals Accepted : Yes, with a rate difference

Required Skills & Certifications :
- Vents & IV Start
- Neuro Intensive Care Unit experience
- Interpretation & Management of Dysrhythmias
- Blood Product Administration
- Central Line Care/Management
- Continuous IV Sedation
- CVA/Acute Stroke Management
- External Ventricular Drains (EVD)
- ICP Monitoring
- Post Neurosurgery Management
- Care of Ventilated Patients
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Lumbar Drain experience
- Strong Neuro experience required (2 years minimum)

Certifications :
- ACLS
- BCLS
- NIHSS

Patient Care Details :
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Patient diagnoses: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic), SDH, craniotomies, and more
- Average Daily Census: 11-12
- Ratio: 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 during high census)

Special Equipment :
- EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, Arctic Sun

Scheduling :
- 36 hours can be offered
- Unit will accept 13-week contracts
- Floating is required
- Every other weekend required

Orientation : 24.0 hours; 2 days or 2 nights
