Insurance Coverage Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its insurance coverage litigation practice in Seattle, Washington. The role involves providing strategic guidance on first-party and third-party coverage analysis and defending against alleged bad faith claims across various jurisdictions. Duties Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies and draft coverage opinions. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda. Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal correspondence. Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties. Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations. Manage matters, deadlines, and client communication proactively. Requirements Admitted to practice in Washington State. Experience in insurance coverage and litigation or a commercial litigation background with an interest in insurance coverage. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters. Effective problem-solving skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Washington State. Skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in legal research and writing.
