This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote. A Day in the Life… Responsible for a variety of legal projects, including contract review and negotiation, risk analysis for business initiatives, research and advice in areas of the law impacting a global consumer packaged goods company and agricultural cooperative. Draft, negotiate and support the management of certain commercial agreements, including intellectual property licensing agreements, co-pack agreements, ingredient supply agreements, and various other third-party service agreements. Manage multiple priority legal projects/initiatives contemporaneously and work cross-functionally to assist with project completion. Works collaboratively with and provides legal advice to cross-functional teams within the company on diverse topics, including business transactions, marketing assets, litigation and other disputes, and compliance with applicable laws. Work as a legal advisor to a variety of business teams, which may include food quality and safety, R&D, consumer affairs, supply chain, operations, procurement, IT (including infosec and data privacy), grower relations, labor, employment and corporate compliance. Manage the review, evaluation, development, prosecution, maintenance and defense of certain IP applications, as well as assist cross-functional teams in evaluating protection of intellectual property.
