Assistant PT Manager

Overview A Club4Fitness Assistant Personal Training Manager assists the Personal Training Manager (PTM) in mentoring both new and existing personal trainers. This role helps newcomers acclimate to the Club4Fitness personal training program, trains new staff on productivity practices, and covers for the PTM when required. The Assistant must fully understand and perform all aspects of the personal trainer position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the PTM by walking new personal training staff through onboarding activities for the first 30 days of employment. Help other personal trainers develop a working knowledge of Peak/ABC (depending on the sales system in use at the assigned club). Coach personal trainers on running effective consultations for prospective clients and shadow experienced trainers to evaluate consultation proficiency. Support the PTM in establishing efficient appointment setting for fitness consultations and overall prospecting within the department. Reinforce the need for all personal training personnel to understand and follow Club4Fitness policies and procedures, emphasizing the current cancel/freeze policies. Conduct session quality reviews of existing personal training staff. Maintain a working understanding of Trainerize to teach new trainers the system. Assist the PTM with social media responsibilities. Help fill new trainer schedules with clients. Guide personal training staff in completing monthly trainer business plans and daily/weekly reporting. Perform “Floor Hours Activities” (10 to 15 hrs weekly) and complete a minimum of 20 consultations per month. Act as right‑hand support to drive revenue through personal training package sales, mentoring and coaching PT personnel as needed. Deliver fast‑paced, pre‑designed workouts to medium and large groups of clients. Lead and motivate clients throughout intense training sessions. Build and maintain a highly engaged member participation base. Live a lifestyle that aligns with client expectations and promotes safety and proper technique. Attend weekly and monthly fitness meetings and required educational presentations; assist in their preparation. Handle member concerns when the PTM is unavailable. Maintain member engagement through social media and brand promotion. Learn the full scope of the Personal Training Manager role over time. Act as a fitness leader in the community. Qualifications Experienced Certified Personal Trainer with prior experience. Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics for functional training, pregnancy training, injury recovery, and endurance/strength alternatives. Ability to pass a personal training Strength and Conditioning Assessment. Detail‑oriented with high professionalism, organizational skills, and multitasking ability. Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills. Capacity to train all fitness levels. High presence and understanding of social media. CPR/AED certification. Excellent customer service skills, gregarious personality, and unstoppable energy. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; 2‑ or 4‑year degree in exercise science or related field preferred. Current fitness certification from an approved provider (ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT). CPR/AED certification (required). Work Environment & Schedule Mental demands include reading, verbal and written communication, and emotional control under pressure. Physical demands: frequent interruptions, light lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, stretching, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and lifting. Use of computer and repetitive hand motions required. Gym facilities and office environments have regulated air temperature and humidity, which may rise during activities. Noise level is generally low but may become louder in gym settings. Travel may be required. Hours include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and special events; flexibility is essential.
