AR + Collections Specialist

AR Collections Analyst (Contract / Contract-to-Hire)

Location : Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)

A growing organization is seeking an experienced AR Collections Analys t to support its accounts receivable operations. This role will focus primarily on collections activities, customer account management, payment follow-up, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts

Responsibilities

• Manage collections efforts across a portfolio of customer accounts to drive timely payment of outstanding invoices
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due balances
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, billing disputes, and collection-related issues
• Partner with internal teams and customer contacts to remove barriers to payment and improve collection outcomes
• Support cash application and account reconciliation activities as needed
• Maintain accurate customer account records and collection notes
• Escalate high-risk accounts and collection concerns when appropriate
• Assist with process improvements that enhance collections efficiency and reduce DSO

.Qualifications

• 5+ years of business-to-business collections experience
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collection best practices
• Experience managing a large volume of customer accounts
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Ability to independently prioritize workload and follow through on outstanding issues
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Experience working with ERP systems and customer payment portals preferred
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
