Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across all age groups utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft personalized treatment plans targeted at achieving short-term goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver tailored, one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaboratively work alongside physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive and effective care strategies.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain precise, timely documentation in accordance with all applicable guidelines and regulations.
• Engage in continuous education and collaborative learning to foster growth in clinical expertise.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
