Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 24 patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 during day shifts
• Document all patient care and clinical activity using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands (up to 75 miles)
• Participate in facility orientation and complete required clinical and non-clinical training modules

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license — no pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID, plus a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last three months of the projected start date, are required at time of submission
• No more than 5 days of RTO per 13-week contract period; no holiday RTO accepted
• Must be willing to float to other units or facilities within scope of practice as needed
• Two supervisory references required with submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
• Prior experience charting in Epic
• Comfort with floating to varied unit environments
