Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a clinical pharmacist to provide inpatient pharmacy services in a large county health system hospital. This contract position is ideal for those with a PGY1 residency or approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience, with a strong preference for PGY1-trained candidates.

Location: Long Beach, CA
Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Flexibility to work primarily 1st and 2nd shifts, with occasional 3rd shifts as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in the inpatient setting
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participate in patient care rounds and provide pharmacological expertise
• Successfully complete a competency exam prior to starting
• Undergo background verification through Livescan

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with current credentials
• PGY1 residency highly preferred or at least two years of current inpatient experience
• Ability to adapt to varied shift schedules
• Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills
