This is a leadership development position with real responsibility and growth opportunity.What You'll Be Responsible ForOperational ExcellenceLead food preparation and cooking to Chick-fil-A quality standardsOversee raw chicken prep, freezer and refrigerator inventory freshnessMaintain cooking times and product consistencyEnsure the kitchen is fully stocked and set up for peak hoursManage opening and handoff processes for AM/PM transitionsFood Safety & SanitationEnforce food safety, labeling, rotation, and temperature complianceOversee equipment cleanliness and maintenance (fryers, grills, breading area)Ensure proper filter lock-outs, boil-outs, FIFO & LEAN proceduresMaintain OSHA and health department standardsKitchen LeadershipSupervise and coach back-of-house team membersTrain new hires in preparation techniques and safety protocolsSet the tone for urgency, accountability, and teamworkTroubleshoot operational bottlenecks in real timeSupport catering, curbside, and 3rd-party execution during high volumeShift LeadershipAct as key holder and lead closing proceduresCommunicate effectively with Directors and front-of-house leadershipWho We're Looking For1–2+ years of kitchen or food service experience (leadership preferred)Experience in high-volume environmentsStrong understanding of food safety and preparation standardsAbility to lead under pressure and solve problems quicklyHigh attention to detailStrong communication skillsReliable transportationCommitment to Chick-fil-A's CORE 4 (Smile, Eye Contact, Speak Enthusiastically, "My Pleasure")Why Join Chick-fil-A Gandy?We are serious about development and culture.
