Senior Associate - Data Strategy & Insights

About the Role

LSC LifeSciences Consultants is looking for a Senior Consultant – Data & Insights to join our India team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in data analytics, insights generation, business analytics, healthcare analytics, or consulting analytics, with strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

In this role, you will support strategic consulting projects by analyzing complex datasets, developing models and dashboards, and translating data into clear, actionable business insights. You will work closely with consultants, senior leaders, and international project teams across life sciences, healthcare, pharma, biotech, MedTech, and diagnostics.

This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical data capabilities with business thinking, structured problem-solving, and the ability to synthesize findings into practical recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support data and insights workstreams across strategic consulting projects.

• Analyze complex datasets, including market, sales, epidemiology, patient, physician, claims, and secondary research data.

• Clean, structure, validate, and manage large datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

• Develop analytical models, dashboards, trackers, visualizations, and data-driven tools to support project teams.

• Identify trends, patterns, outliers, and key insights from complex data sources.

• Synthesize analytical findings into clear business implications and strategic recommendations.

• Support the development of client-ready presentations, deliverables, and insight summaries.

• Collaborate with consultants, senior leadership, and global project teams to ensure analytical outputs meet project objectives.

• Provide technical guidance to junior team members on analytical approaches, data quality, coding standards, and visualization best practices.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of LSC’s data analytics, insights generation, and visualization capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Life Sciences, or a related field.

• 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, consulting analytics, healthcare analytics, data science, or a related field.

• Experience in pharma, biotech, MedTech, diagnostics, healthcare, or consulting is strongly preferred.

• Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and convert findings into actionable insights.

• Experience supporting consulting teams, business stakeholders, or client-facing teams is a plus.

• Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.

• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

• Strong SQL skills for querying, managing, and manipulating data.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Proficiency in Python, R, SAS, or similar statistical programming languages.

• Experience cleaning, managing, analyzing, and interpreting large and complex datasets.

• Experience working with data management technologies and platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, or similar tools.

• Strong data visualization, insight generation, and storytelling skills.

• Ability to translate data findings into practical business recommendations.

• High attention to detail and a strong quality-control mindset.

• Comfort working with coding IDEs and AI-supported coding platforms, such as Codex or similar tools, is a plus.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, particularly in collaborating with international project teams.

• Proactive, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
