ARDMS (OB) Ultrasound Technician

Multiple Shifts | Schedules Available | Full-Time

** Sign-on Bonus Up-to $6,000 **

MLR is searching for a skilled and empathetic Ultrasound Tech to join our team in Southern Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, upholding high imaging standards, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Primary Responsibilities for an Ultrasound Tech:

Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular studies.
Operate and maintain ultrasound machines and related equipment.
Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and review imaging results.

Qualifications for an Ultrasound Tech:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
Certification by the ARDMS (OB) (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is required to be obtained within the first year of hire.
2 years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technician ( preferred, not required ).
Proficiency in various ultrasound techniques and the use of equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
