Duties

Participates in nationwide strategic planning for the management of the passport function

Analyzes prevailing political, social, and economic conditions that could impact changes and analyzes trends in efforts to obtain passports through fraud or deceit in order to develop Passport Services Directorate policies

Participates in the development, justification, and defense of overall annual budget for the Directorate; identifies and justifies changes needed in levels of resources and develops contingency plans should added resources be unavailable

Develops policies to assure the uniform application of passport laws and regulations to assure efficient and responsive service to the public; manages and directs all aspects of the activities of the Passport Agency to which assigned

Directs the anti-fraud program within the region; provides detailed instruction to new staff members on the techniques and art of document fraud protection, and provides update training to all on new techniques and forms of evidence
