CNC Mill Machinist Setup Operator 5 Axis Milling

Position: CNC Mill Machinist Setup Operator 5 Axis Milling We are a manufacturer of precision machined parts with an opening for a CNC Mill Machinist to Setup and operate 5 axis CNC Mills. Our parts that we manufacture are close tolerance and are sold to the Aerospace industry. We have a full-time permanent position, first shift weekdays at our Anaheim facility. Duties Interpret mechanical parts blueprints and work instructions. Consult with the CNC Programming team to determine best part machining plan Give recommendations, best practice suggestions to planning, tooling, cutters to use Using supplied program, Setup and adjust CNC mills. Vertical and Horizontal mills and 5 axis vertical mills Modify offsets, G code using FANUC and Siemens controls Setup machine, proof out the program and process, inspect parts, Load and run parts, change cutting tools, make offsets and adjustments. Inspect work pieces during production. Complete inspection documents. Measure parts using micrometers, calipers and other measuring equipment to ensure quality Meet production goals, Track parts counts, update data entry time keeping stations. Assist with maintaining the milling machines, coolant, chip removal, cleaning, and overall work area cleanliness. Assist the management team completing any other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience as a CNC Mill machinist. 3-4+ axis experience required. 5 axis milling experience required. Functional communication skills In English Ability to make offset adjustments, replace cutting tools. DMG Mori DMU 5 Axis and Siemens Celos Controls experience desired but other similar experience is relevant. Setup fixtures, load program, setup and validate parts. Run production. Perform G-Code programming and modifications. Must be able to inspect parts using mics, calipers, and other related instruments. Organize and maintain shop tooling and accountability. Experience Experience machining aircraft grade alloys and heat-treated materials. Horizontal Milling experience is desired as well as 4+ and 5 axis machining. Mori Seiki, Mazak Fanuc or Siemens controls experience is desired. Mastercam Mill programming knowledge is helpful. Must be a US citizen or equivalent for US Govt defense contract ITAR compliance. Employer may also request references to contact and confirm prior employment and length of employment. Applicant must possess the ability to lift 40+lbs. and have the ability to stand at a machine for 10 hours per day. Applicant must be able to work in a noisy environment. Able to pass pre-employment physical screening. Must have a mechanical aptitude and prior machine shop experience is preferred. Full-time position in a clean air-conditioned facility Monday thru Thursday, four Tens work shift 40 hours with possibility to also work OT on Fridays. Competitive pay based on experience.
