Position Overview Senior Civil Construction Inspector – a senior field role accountable for ensuring design intent, quality, safety and compliance on civil projects, including roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, pipelines and related infrastructure. Responsibilities Conduct and document observations of construction progress for civil infrastructure projects. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts. Mentor and supervise junior field staff as needed. Collaborate with field representatives, Project Managers, and other stakeholders. Serve as the most senior inspector on projects when required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Roads and Bridges. Relevant industry certifications. Ability to interpret construction schedules. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; 8 years of relevant inspection experience may substitute. Minimum of 5 years construction inspection experience. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
