About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its Indigenous-led, culturally specific nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will be a passionate and visionary advocate for Indigenous children and families, with a deep understanding of both the potential of every child and the barriers faced by families impacted by foster care. This role is pivotal in continuing to build and expand the organization's programs, particularly in the areas of fundraising, relationship development, and strategic partnerships. The Executive Director will be responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with tribal nations, organizations, and communities, as well as leading the chapter in a culturally grounded, ethical, and professional manner. Collaboration with the National CEO and network team is essential to ensure program fidelity and to grow the organization's impact both locally and nationally. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should possess a minimum of 10 years' of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or related fields, with a proven track record of success. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' of experience working within tribal communities or tribal-serving organizations, with a strong cultural knowledge of Indigenous ways of knowing. Core competencies include strong financial acumen, strategic risk mitigation, and exceptional communication skills. The role demands a leader who can provide strategic direction, lead in a culturally humble way, and ensure the organization's financial health and operational effectiveness.
