Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bronx, NY
Type: Contract

Shift & Schedule:
Day Shift | 3 Shifts Per Week | 11.5 Hours Per Shift (34.5 Hours/Week)

Pay Rate: $60 - $70/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

• Provide respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management.

• Respond to emergency and trauma situations requiring respiratory intervention.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and respiratory care standards.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

• Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist License (NYSED).

• Current BLS Certification (Primary Source Verification required).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in:

  • Adult General Care
  • Pediatric General Care
  • Adult Critical Care
  • Pediatric Critical Care
  • Emergency/Trauma Care
  • Neonatal Care

• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment abilities.

• Experience with critical care and emergency respiratory procedures.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in fast-paced acute care environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) Certification.

• ACLS Certification.

• PALS Certification.

• NRP Certification for Intensive Care Nursery.
