This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.Panelmatic is seeking a skilled Grinder/Polisher to join our team. The Grinder/Polisher will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces by grinding, sanding, and polishing to ensure high-quality finishes on our custom control panels and other metal components. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and precision that Panelmatic is known for.Job Duties:Immerse parts in solution or wash surfaces to remove grease, rust, scale, and dirtSet up and operate painting equipment to coat metal products with lacquer, paint, varnish, enamel, oil, or rustproofing materialPrepare metal surfaces for painting, and paint equipment using brushes, spray guns, sanders, and rollersMix chemicals and paints, fill tanks, control viscosity, thinner, and chemicals to mixtureDetermine flow and viscosity of paints and quality of coating visually or by use of viscometerOperate spray guns, position nozzles to direct spray onto the work piece, and regulate air pressure in spray guns that atomize sprayVerify correct paint colors by reading building prints and designsStrip, sand, mask, and repaint surfaces, blend and polish finish to match surrounding areas, manually or using portable power toolsSpray foam insulation and undercoating as required in buildingsMay install windows, door panes, handles, drains, or other accessoriesMay use a full-face ventilation mask for extended periods of timeSpray specified amount or thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings, such as paint, lacquer, sealer, or enamel, onto prepared surfaces, using spray equipmentMay operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment and access areas to be paintedMust be able to work in enclosed spaces and extreme heat for extended periods of time
