Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety. The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and enforcing security policies. This role helps prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access while ensuring the safety of Hillcrest Hospital South patients, visitors, staff, equipment, supplies, facilities, and hospital contents. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid CLEET Armed Security Officer. Valid Driver's License. IAHSS Basic level (within 6 months of hire). BLS (within 60 days of hire) CPI (within 90 days of hire) Maintain annual firearm and handcuffing certification OC gel spray certification. Preferred Job Requirements: 1 year of security experience. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients, visitors, staff, contractors, governmental agencies, and vendors. Ability to confront adverse and potentially hostile situations and resolve tactfully and safely. Skill and ability to make quick decisions and apply safety and security knowledge in emergencies.
