Located near Berwyn, IL, this school-based position is ideal for dedicated professionals who thrive on helping children reach their full potential in a supportive educational environment. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow therapists, working 2-2.5 days per week and making a real impact.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Physical Therapist license in Illinois
- Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy (preferred)
- Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills for maintaining records and managing a varied caseload
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working within school teams
Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and creating personalized therapy goals for students
- Delivering direct physical therapy sessions as outlined in IEPs or 504 plans
- Engaging in IEP meetings and collaborating with school staff and families
- Providing documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Educating staff and students on adaptive techniques and equipment use
- Supporting inclusivity and accessibility within diverse school settings
