Work arrangements may change at the company’s discretion to meet business needs.WhatYou'llDoPriorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: PartnerwithArtDirectors,Producers,Animators,andTechnicalArtiststodeliverhigh-qualitycharacterassetsthatsupportimmersiveplayerexperiences.Createcompelling,realisticcharacters,clothing,gear,andaccessoriesthatmeetquality,performance,andscalabilityrequirements.Researchandapplyextensiveknowledgeofmilitaryuniforms,equipment,andtacticalgeartoensureauthenticityandattentiontodetail.Independentlyexecutehigh-levelcreativedirectionwhileproactivelyidentifyingsolutionsandopportunitiesforimprovement.Serveasaqualitychampionandtrustedexpertforcharacterartperformance,efficiency,andvisualfidelity.Mentorandsupportfellowartiststhroughconstructivefeedback,collaboration,andknowledgesharing.Advocateforbestpractices,pipelineimprovements,andworkflowefficienciesacrosscharacterartproduction.Collaboratecross-functionallytoensureartgoals,technicalrequirements,andproductionplansareclearlyunderstoodandexecuted.Contributeinnovativeideasandcreativesolutionsthroughoutgamedevelopment.PlayerProfileRequiredQualifications15+yearsofprofessionalexperienceasaCharacterArtistingamedevelopment,withastrongemphasisonrealisticcharactercreation.Exceptionalportfoliodemonstratingexpertiseinphotorealisticcharacterart,includingorganicandhard-surfacemodeling,clothing,equipment,materials,andtexturing.ExperienceshippingAAAconsoleand/orPCtitles,ideallywithinthefirst-personshootergenre.Advancedproficiencywithindustry-standardtoolssuchasMayaor3dsMax,ZBrush,Photoshop,andSubstancePainter/Designer.Deepunderstandingofgameartpipelines,real-timeproductionworkflows,andmoderngameengines.Strongknowledgeofhumananatomy,clothingconstruction,form,silhouette,andproportion.ExpertunderstandingofPhysicallyBasedRendering(PBR)workflowsandrenderingtechniques.ExperiencecreatingassetsformodernconsoleandPCplatforms.Excellentcommunication,collaboration,andproblem-solvingskills.Abilitytothriveinahighlycollaborative,fast-paced,andevolvingdevelopmentenvironment.PreferredQualificationsExperienceworkingwithscan-basedcharactercreationworkflowsandphotogrammetrytechnologies.Strongunderstandingofcontemporarygamearttrendsandvisualstorytelling.Experiencecontributingtoordefiningcharacterartstandards,pipelines,andproductionprocesses.Previousleadership,mentorship,orprincipal-levelexperiencewithinaAAAdevelopmentenvironment.AboutInfinityWardFounded in 2002, Infinity Ward is the original studio behind the Call of Duty franchise. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations.
