Warehouse Utility Worker

Position Overview As a Utility, you will fill in for any position in the warehouse including, but not limited to: Clerk, Forklift Operator, Selector, Backhauler, and Porter. Operate a forklift to place or retrieve up to twenty pallets per hour in racks up to 46 feet high. Manually lift and move pallets into place. Record daily actions using a radio‑frequency computer terminal. Perform selector duties: selecting full case grocery, perishable, or frozen items; fitting items on pallets; plastic wrapping; loading onto trailer. Perform backhauler duties: operate an electric pallet jack or clamp machine, transport pallets of product off inbound trucks, and compile un‑palletized products onto pallets. Perform porter duties: clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots; use a pallet jack and electric scrubber to clean slots; replace product; clean warehouse offices, break areas, and restrooms. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Travel required: No Work environment: Freezer (-20°F to 0°F), Perishable (28°F to 60°F), Grocery (50°F to 90°F) Specialized knowledge and skills: Operate pallet jack and other required materials‑handling equipment (MHE). Operate a battery hoist. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Commit to safety, reliability, and satisfactory attendance. Produce quality work and maintain required productivity. Physical requirements: Occasional climbing up to 4ft (must have fall protection training). Occasional kneeling, balancing, and other tasks. Frequent pushing and pulling up to 60lbs. Continuous handling of up to 60lbs. Standing and walking on various surfaces. Experience: 0–2 years relevant experience. Education: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
