Patient Care Coordinator - SchedulingMount Laurel, NJ 08054OverviewSalary Range $17.00 - $22.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift DayDescriptionPosition SummaryThe Patient Care Coordinator supports high-quality patient care by serving as a liaison between patients, physician practices, hospitals, support services, and payors. This role is responsible for coordinating sleep study scheduling, documentation, and communication to ensure accurate workflows, regulatory compliance, and a positive patient experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Coordination and SchedulingReceive and enter sleep study orders into designated systems, ensuring medical necessity aligns with documented symptoms and physician ordersSchedule patients for sleep studies in a timely manner and in accordance with company policyObtain and verify demographic and medical information during the scheduling processInform, educate, and respond to patient and physician questions regarding the sleep study processCommunication and DocumentationCommunicate information received from patients, physician offices, and hospitals to appropriate internal teamsReview and verify source materials to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with Medicare and payer standardsFollow up to correct or complete missing or inaccurate information as neededCompliance and Operational SupportPerform duties in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policiesSupport cross-training initiatives, including coverage of other Patient Care Coordinator functions such as Medical Records, as assignedPerform additional operational tasks to support departmental workflows as neededQualificationsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 2–4 years of experience in a customer service rolePrior experience in a healthcare setting or healthcare-related organization requiredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting sleep medicine or diagnostic servicesBilingual (Spanish) proficiencyPhysical and Work Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive computer-based tasks. Ability to communicate effectively by phone and electronic systems.
