Overview Family Dental Practice of Newington are seeking a part-time Pediatric dentist to join our teams in Newington, CT. We provide General, Pedodontic, and Oral Surgery services. The right candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to excellence in patient care. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking for a long-term career track or a pediatric dentist seeking to supplement their current schedule. Schedule & Availability Work 2 Saturdays/month (8‑2 pm) Additional days may be available if provider is willing to travel to another nearby office Responsibilities Promote oral health and disease prevention Diagnose oral diseases Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient’s oral health Review treatment plan options with patients Review, maintain, and update patients’ medical and dental records Review and interpret x‑rays and diagnostic tests Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism within the dental office Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices, and standard of care through current continuing education courses and professional development Providers are responsible for the entire clinical patient experience from initial exam and treatment plan to delivery of care Qualifications DMD or DDS degree from a university‑based dental education program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA CODA) Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry Current state license to practice dentistry Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination Proof of malpractice insurance Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification Benefits Integrated Pedodontic and oral surgery within the practice State‑of‑the‑art equipment Supportive and collaborative team environment Career growth opportunities, whether part‑time or full‑time Competitive compensation #J-18808-Ljbffr
