Implementation Specialist, Service Delivery - REMOTE

Title: DevOps / VMware Infrastructure Engineer (Night Shift)

Location: Remote

Shift: Overnight (1:00 AM - 7:00 AM, weekdays)

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to support a customer migrating from VxRail to R-series servers . This role requires strong expertise in VMware infrastructure, IaC automation, CI/CD, and private cloud operations . The work will primarily occur during overnight maintenance windows after customer business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and IaC tools
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments
Support private cloud and VMware environments during migration from VxRail
Monitor and improve system performance using observability tools
Apply security best practices and ensure high availability and DR compliance
Collaborate with application and delivery teams to align infrastructure with product needs
Participate in overnight deployments and maintenance windows
Document processes, perform code reviews, and promote best practices

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of VMware, Windows, and Linux in HCI environments
3+ years in cloud / DevOps / platform engineering (AWS or Azure)
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK or similar IaC tools
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, or ECS
Familiarity with Meraki SDWAN and networking fundamentals
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, LogicMonitor, CloudWatch
Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Certifications

VMware, AWS, Azure, Microsoft, Terraform, Linux (or equivalent hands-on expertise)
