Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off may be approved per contract
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister campuses, may be required
• No block scheduling available
• Charting performed in Epic; Epic experience is required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Comfort working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients required
• Epic EMR experience required
• State or compact RT license required if applicable; pending licensure is not accepted
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill adult and pediatric patients in an ICU setting
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (approximately 4–10 hours)
• Maximum of 4 days of RTO allowed per contract; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront
• Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning; night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing a 6-month break
• RTO beyond the 4-day maximum is subject to manager's discretion
