This role offers hands‑on ownership across the full product lifecycle, working in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment.Design and develop precision mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, supporting optical and electromechanical systemsOwn designs from concept through prototyping, validation, and release to productionBuild, assemble, and debug prototype hardware, supporting system‑level testing and troubleshootingCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirementsCreate detailed engineering documentation, including drawings with GD&T, BOMs, and change management recordsSupport new product introduction and early production builds, working with manufacturing and supply chain partnersAll About YouWe seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experienceProficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, including part modeling, assemblies, and drawingsExperience creating fabrication drawings using GD&T and applying tolerance analysis principlesHands‑on experience with prototyping, assembly, and testing of mechanical systemsFamiliarity with PLM systems and change management processes (e.g., ECN/ECO)Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills in cross‑functional engineering environmentsAdditional InformationExperience with optical/mechanical integration, FEA tools, or precision electromechanical systems is a plusAbility to travel up to ~10% as needed for project or customer supportWe are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Compensation:The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $160,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
