Temporary Dairy Farm Research Technician This position will primarily provide skilled animal care during milking shifts (between the hours of 6am – 11am OR 6pm – 11pm) milking dairy cows in the parlor. It also requires skid steer operation for manure management, moving cows from the free stall barn to the parlor, maintaining parlor cleanliness, and assisting with other farm chores including cow and calf care. Work Schedule Includes weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts, with hours ranging from 5:00am – 1:00pm. Hours may be varied due to operational needs of the farm. Responsibilities Providing animal care during milking shifts. Operating skid steer for manure management and cattle movement. Maintaining parlor cleanliness. Assisting with farm chores including cow and calf care. Qualifications Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis. Knowledge of farm operations, tractor experience, and a minimum of 1 year of large animal care experience or large animal education.
