Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Registered Nurse Outpatient Care

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Days: Rotating (no set schedule)

Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40.00

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• ONS/ONCC-CHIM certification: Required
• At least 2-3 years of recent experience in the field: Required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatients in a clinic setting according to established standards of care.
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other healthcare disciplines.
• Collect and analyze relevant patient data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Develop and implement care plans, evaluate progress, and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on health information and treatment plans.
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures and assist physicians as needed.
