Job Description Job Title: Board Certified /Board Eligible Urologist Department: Veteran Affairs Salary: $600,000- $750,000 annually Locations: Fargo ND 58102 Shift: 08:00am-04:00pm (M-F) Duration: 1 year to long term Hours/week: 40 Hours/week Job Summary: The Urologist will provide direct patient care, focusing on outpatient and inpatient urology services. This role involves clinical evaluations, surgical procedures, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality care. Qualifications: • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or D.C. • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU). Successful completion of an approved residency program in Urology (minimum 3 years in Urological surgery). Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care (approx. 90% of time) in outpatient clinic and inpatient settings. • Perform urological procedures including cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries, and bladder cancer treatments. • Conduct inpatient rounds and coordinate referrals as needed. • Perform major procedures (lymphatic, abdominal, prostate, urethra, ureter, bladder, kidney, scrotum, testes, penis, epididymis, spermatic cord). • Utilize holmium laser, ESWL, and fluoroscopy. • Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions. • Participate in specialty exams (e.g., compensation and pension, Agent Orange evaluations). • Adhere to VA medication policies (no sample medications).
