Medical Assistant/Patient Care Assistant-PT-Internal Medicine-Provo

Position Summary: Our Internal Medicine department has an opening for a part-time Medical Assistant. If you like working in a fast-paced office and being part of a team, come join our office.

Essential Job Functions: Some of the duties specific to this position will be entering optum attestations and APCM management (will be trained on how to do these) injections, INR/Protimes, retinal eye exams. Also helping cover other provider when MA on vacation or out of the office by rooming patients, entering and recording all pertinent information into electronic medical records. Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms. Ensures exam rooms are properly stocked with needed supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures. Calls results and relays messages to patients as indicated by a provider in a prompt and courteous manner. Creates and maintains tasks and documents all patient interactions. Call/Fax/ prescriptions per protocol

Qualifications: Past MA experience preferred. Must have computer experience and able to type at least 40 wpm. Must be dependable Must have outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail. Must also be a self-starter, team player, friendly and professional. Be able to multi-task and work efficiently. CPR certification required upon hire.

Hours: 20-30hrs per week schedule to be be determined
