Contingent Project Manager

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Contingent Project Manager with our large power and utilities client in Bartow, FL. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.


Pay: $68.00 - $78.00/hr ; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Schedule: Generally full time, 40 hours/week. Could be up to 20 hours of OT/week during outage's.

Description:

• A Contingent Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all phases of assigned projects, from planning through execution and closeout, to achieve project objectives related to scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Working under the direction of project leadership, this role provides project management oversight, facilitates cross-functional team collaboration, manages risks and issues, maintains stakeholder communications, and ensures compliance with company procedures and governance requirements.
• The position develops and administers project plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting processes while coordinating with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and external agencies to successfully deliver projects.
• The Project Manager exercises independent judgment in decision-making, supports project controls and resource management activities, and promotes effective integration across project teams to achieve business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors, and project risks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Utility, power generation, or energy industry experience.
• Preferred Qualifications
• PMP certification
• Utility, power generation, or energy industry experience.
• Experience managing capital projects and power plant outages.
