Requirements

• Required certification: Med/Surg
• 1+ years of experience
• Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years RN experience required 2. Cases: 34 bed med/surg unit with telemetry; wide range of acute medical conditions 3. Certifications: BCLS, NIH (also listed as BLS, ACLS, NIHSs); BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies required in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 or 3x12 Nights 19:00-07:30; 3 weekend shifts per 4 week scheduling period; facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible 10. Travel/Local: Permanent address 100 miles from facility required; candidates between 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license reviewed case-by-case 12. Modules: Non-billable; average 8 hours completion time; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: None provided 15.
