Job Summary:

The BACKFILL - TRAVEL - RN - A6W NEURO MED/ TELE (620) Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a neurosciences and telemetry setting, supporting monitoring and bedside interventions. This role delivers safe, timely nursing services using established protocols and Cerner documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor telemetry and neuro status, escalating changes promptly to the care team.
• Perform Foley insertion and IV start in accordance with unit standards.
• Deliver med-surg/neuro nursing care while maintaining appropriate patient ratios.
• Coordinate care with charge RN and CNAs to support efficient daily workflow.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Cerner EMR.
• Promote patient safety by following infection control and clinical best practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess NIH certification and maintain competency.
• Hold current ACLS certification.
• Demonstrate experience in telemetry and neuro/med-surg settings (preferred).
• Exhibit proficiency with standard med-surg equipment and bedside monitoring.
• Support a fast-paced unit by being outgoing, self-motivated, and adaptable.
