What You'll Do

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide individualized, goal-oriented treatments that help residents improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy treatments in accordance with the supervising Occupational Therapist's plan of care. Assist residents in improving activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, and other functional tasks. Implement therapeutic activities designed to improve coordination, strength, balance, fine motor skills, and functional independence. Support residents in developing the skills needed to safely participate in daily routines and activities. Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and prescribed home programs. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Follow established care plans, facility policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence.

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current, active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. Commitment to evidence-based practice and resident-centered care. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
