Registered Nurse (RN) - Palliative Care

Registered Nurse Palliative Care

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours, rotating day/evening/night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Assignment Details: Position offers care for patients with intensive symptom management needs at end of life and general medicine overflow.

Requirements:

NYS RN License
2 years of recent palliative or acute medical-surgical experience
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification is highly desired

Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate care to patients and families in crisis.
Demonstrate astute assessment skills to advocate for patients with complex needs.
Manage patient care efficiently within a palliative care unit.
Perform wound care and IV skills as required.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
