This travel, temporary assignment places you in an acute care environment caring for adult patients in an observation setting to help determine if admission or discharge is appropriate. Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $2,172–$2,236 Contract duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts (3x12) Location: Rochester, NY, in an observation/unit setting Guaranteed hours: 0.0 per week Responsibilities Care for adult patients in the observation unit, focusing on determining if patients require admission or can be treated and discharged home safely. Maintain care in a fast-paced environment with continuous provider coverage and high patient turnover. Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status, coordinating with the care team. Assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care for both emergency observation patients and admitted boarding patients. Collaborate with physicians, discharge planning, and ancillary staff to support patient flow and safety.
