TALENT SPECIALIST, NORTH AMERICA

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Talent Specialist to support and continuously improve the employee lifecycle across North America, with primary responsibility for the United States and occasional support for Canada. This role will assist with talent acquisition, onboarding, retention initiatives, talent programs, succession planning activities, and workforce analytics.

The successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR teams to deliver an outstanding candidate and employee experience. This role will support talent processes, maintain recruiting and employee data, coordinate talent initiatives, and provide insights that contribute to organizational success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
TALENT ACQUISITION AND RECRUITMENT
Support full-cycle recruiting activities across the U.S., including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and candidate communication.
Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop candidate pipelines.
Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and other recruiting channels.
Conduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interview processes.
Maintain accurate applicant tracking system (ATS) records and candidate documentation.
Assist with offer preparation, background check coordination, and pre-employment processes.
Support professional and salaried recruiting needs in Canada as needed.
Develop talent pipelines for key and recurring positions.
Track recruiting activity and support reporting on hiring metrics, time-to-fill, and recruiting effectiveness.
Coordinate relationships with external recruiting partners when required.
NEW HIRE EXPERIENCE AND EMPLOYEE RETENTION
Coordinate onboarding activities to support a successful new hire experience.
Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins with new employees and document feedback.
Assist in identifying onboarding gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
Support employee retention initiatives through surveys, feedback collection, and follow-up actions.
Escalate employee concerns and retention risks to HR leadership when appropriate.
Monitor turnover trends and assist with retention reporting.
Help facilitate employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
Provide administrative and analytical support for employee experience programs.
TALENT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
Support talent review and succession planning activities by collecting data and coordinating meetings.
Maintain talent profiles, succession planning documentation, and development tracking tools.
Assist with performance management processes, including scheduling, communications, and reporting.
Support internal mobility and career development initiatives.
Track employee participation in development programs, mentoring opportunities, and training activities.
Help ensure talent actions and development plans are documented and followed through.
TALENT ANALYTICS AND REPORTING
Assist with exit interview administration and documentation.
Compile and maintain recruiting, retention, turnover, and employee lifecycle data.
Generate routine talent reports and dashboards for HR and business leaders.
Monitor workforce metrics including hiring activity, turnover, onboarding milestones, and internal mobility.
Identify trends and provide data summaries to support talent-related decision making.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity within talent systems and reporting tools.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition
Experience supporting full-cycle recruiting processes.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable working with HR systems, applicant tracking systems, and reporting tools.
