Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long-Term Care Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care experience required License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Strong attendance and punctuality required Description: Facility is a Long-Term Care Center that includes rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, wound care, and more. Shifts are 8-hour days, 5 days per week, with every other weekend required upon request. The nurse will be responsible for administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Accurate and safe medication passes are crucial in providing quality resident care. Monitoring and reporting changes in resident conditions is essential. Timely and accurate documentation is also a key responsibility. Nursing care must be provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures. The nurse will supervise Certified Nursing Assistants on assigned units. Organizational skills and attention to detail are required for effective clinic operation. Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanor are essential. Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultures and personalities is necessary. The nurse must work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible with scheduling needs. Dependability and consistent attendance are critical to the role. Any call outs must be communicated with ample notice, more than 24 hours prior. The nurse will need to complete compliance requirements within the designated time frame. Modules must be completed three days prior to the assignment start date. If any clinical issues arise during the assignment, further investigation may occur to determine appropriate next steps. Compliance takes 1.5-2 weeks.
