Our organization is actively looking for full-time general Endocrinologists to join our practices in Long Island.

The facility in Manhasset features cutting-edge resources. By uniting talented physicians with the expertise of a leading academic medical center, this extensive multi-specialty practice offers a comprehensive range of care, from primary and women's health services (OB/GYN) to cardiology, endocrinology, and more, all under one roof.

Our teaching hospital is a recognized, non-profit acute care facility located in Oceanside, New York. Our committed team serves the entire South Shore, extending from the Rockaways in Queens to Massapequas and beyond. We provide compassionate, high-quality care at our main campus in Oceanside, along with nine additional satellite locations in the area. Formerly known as South Nassau Communities Hospital, we are now part of a larger health network and stand as one of the largest hospitals in the region, featuring 455 beds, over 900 physicians, and 3,500 staff members. The Department of Medicine, led by Chairman Aaron E. Glatt, MD, MACP, FIDSA, FSHEA, includes 400 voluntary and full-time Internists and sub-specialists, along with an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program that commenced in July 2019. Our hospital also operates Long Island's only free-standing, 9-1-1 receiving Emergency Department in Long Beach. In addition to our extensive outpatient specialty centers, we offer emergency and elective angioplasty services and are recognized as a Stroke Center by the New York State Department of Health, as well as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons. We have received the Joint Commission's gold seal of approval for disease-specific care in various areas, including heart failure, primary stroke, hip and knee replacements, wound care, bariatric surgery, and end-stage renal disease. Recently, we were re-accredited as one of the first programs in the U.S. by the Infectious Diseases Society of America as a Center of Excellence for Antimicrobial Stewardship.

The selected candidate will join a full-time faculty practice in both inpatient and outpatient general Endocrinology, with opportunities to specialize in specific endocrine disorders. This role involves collaboration within a multi-specialty team in a hospital environment located in Nassau County on Long Island. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about providing consultations in both office and inpatient settings and participating in the Internal Medicine Residency Program. They will work closely with various specialists in Medicine and other departments, as well as with our outstanding Diabetes Education Center, enabling patients to meet many of their healthcare needs in one location. The chosen candidate will also collaborate with senior Head/Neck Surgeons at the Thyroid/Parathyroid Center. A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve a diverse patient population in a region known for excellent school districts and convenient access to Manhattan.
• Work alongside clinical support staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and Certified Diabetes Educators.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Allscripts, Athena, and Epic.
• Engage in teaching and/or research activities as desired.
• Handle administrative responsibilities in coordination with the Metabolic Disorders Service Line Administrator.
• Collaborate with a full-service Diabetes Education Center.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid New York Medical License.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology.
• Dedication to our organization and the communities we serve.
• Strong communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities.
• A collaborative work ethic and a desire to contribute to a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare system.
• Familiarity with various glucose monitoring systems and insulin delivery devices, including continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy, and insulin pens.

Compensation ranges from $220,000 to $350,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may fall closer to either end of the range, and in some cases, may exceed the listed range. The stated salary range is applicable for full-time positions and does not include bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.
