Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Restaurant Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining restaurant equipment, building systems, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC/R systems, commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, and electrical repairs, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hot-side and cold-side restaurant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment and facility systems.
• Repair and maintain HVAC/R systems, commercial cooking equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building components.
• Utilize company mobile applications to receive, update, and close work orders.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations.
• Maintain inventory of repair parts, tools, and supplies.
• Perform all maintenance activities safely and in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
• Assist with special maintenance projects and equipment installations as assigned.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
• Evaluate repair needs and determine the cost-effectiveness of outsourcing specific jobs versus completing work in-house.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, commercial cooking equipment, and small appliance repairs.
• Proficiency in plumbing and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to assess equipment conditions and determine whether repair or replacement is the most effective solution.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and maintenance schedules.
• Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• EPA Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• 2 years of HVAC/R experience.
• 2 years of experience working with commercial cooking equipment.
• Experience using industry-standard tools and diagnostic equipment, including electrical meters and refrigeration gauges.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.

 

Work Environment

• Work is primarily performed at restaurant locations and surrounding properties.
• Frequent travel between assigned locations may be required.
• Position involves both indoor and outdoor work and may require lifting, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
