Tech - Dialysis

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Dialysis Tech is responsible for providing specialized direct patient care during dialysis treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare dialysis equipment and patient stations for treatment.
• Perform patient assessments, including vital signs and blood pressure measurements.
• Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments while monitoring patients continuously.
• Maintain and troubleshoot dialysis machines and associated biomedical equipment in collaboration with technical teams.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and perform water and dialysate safety checks regularly.
• Document treatment data, equipment status, and regulatory compliance thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Dialysis Technician (NNCC or BONET required).
• Valid CPR or BLS certification.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining dialysis equipment.
• Strong understanding of infection control and water safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret complex instructions and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interactions and team communication.
