We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing materials, goods, and services necessary to support business operations. This role plays a critical part in managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Track and manage supplier performance, addressing quality or delivery issues as they arise
• Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports for management review
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and project teams to align purchasing with business needs
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, budgets, and applicable regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in ERP or procurement software (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred skills

• Experience in construction, energy, or industrial procurement
• CPM or CPSM certification
• Familiarity with contract law and terms and conditions
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics
• Experience with bid analysis and RFQ/RFP processes
