Job Description Program Operations Specialist role at UW Medical Center – Montlake Radiology Department provides business support to leadership for key operational goals and initiatives. Over 500,000 patients annually with over 350 employees across six campuses. This position will support strategic activities: staff communication, outpatient growth, provider liaison, employee retention, and departmental operations.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full‑Time / 40 Hours per Week Day Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Serve as a key partner to the Department of Radiology, providing business support to leadership for key operational goals and initiatives. Develop and lead program initiatives, performing complex business support functions, establishing systems processes, coordinating activities, and analyzing workflows to ensure compliance with policies. Collaborate with operational leaders on growth and promotion of referrals to UWMC Radiology: analyze patient care/referral data, recognize trends, recommend strategies, and apply reporting, benchmarking, and alignment with agreed strategies. Develop and maintain internal communication for staff, patient education/screening tools, patient satisfaction surveys, referring provider satisfaction surveys, website management, and marketing campaigns.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication, outreach, and marketing related to Radiology referrals and provider satisfaction. Developing/maintaining staff communication, publications, team building, and education planning. Education materials, screening tools, patient satisfaction surveys, and website management. Business support, calendar management, and logistics for leaders and department activities. Employee engagement activities. Reporting and benchmarking around referral/care data.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in program development and marketing in a healthcare setting, including outreach, sales, planning, data analysis, and presentation skills. Required experience in sales strategy development. Understanding of industry economics and project management experience (PMP certification not required). Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
